Since 2011, David has worked as a lab technician at the Queensland Museum curating the invertebrate collection. He has also worked as a research assistant at ANU undertaking sample collection and sorting for invertebrates for a study that was aimed to understand edge effects on invertebrate populations. He has worked on numerous commercial and industry waste audits and has lead laboratory analysis of moisture content at paper mills, particle size distribution and CDS eligible container audits in NSW, ACT and Queensland as well as 25 week of the SSROC 2019 regional waste audit.
David has a Bachelor of Science in 2011 from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management in 2016 from the University of Queensland.
